Our purpose
We are a family business founded in 2014. Biocueros was born from the desire and conviction to make possible a sustainable tannery in Colombia, to be suppliers of innovative leather, relevant in the world we live in today and to team up with our customers to continue building a united and strong Colombian industry. We understand sustainability from its 3 edges: environmental, social and economic. We work constantly to make real changes and to reduce the impact of our processes. We take care of water, land, air and the people who are part of our team.

Our team
We are a multidisciplinary team that knows firsthand how valuable is the diversity of disciplines, gender, beliefs, preferences and opinions. We build from our differences and particularities. We are Chemical Engineers, Biologists, Administrators, Designers, Artists, Financiers, Entrepreneurs. We are experts in the world of leather, genuine and natural materials. In Biocueros the number one ingredient is the love for what we do day by day.
Our history
We got to know the world of leather more than 30 years ago. We began our experience manufacturing chemical products for the Colombian footwear industry, which allowed us to know closely the standards and needs of this sector. In the 90's we had already specialized in leather for furniture, leather goods and footwear. In 2000 we introduced our line of leather for automotive upholstery. In the desire and constant search towards sustainability we have relocated to different regions of Colombia being the first tannery to have a Waste Water Treatment Plant in the tannery region of Villapinzón and to employ women from the region. In 2016 we created our brand and company Biocueros with the experience of more than two decades and opening the door to innovation, new ideas and the second generation of this family business. In 2021 we relocated and expanded our production, logistics and administrative facilities in an industrial complex located in Tocancipá- Colombia, right in the most important business center of our region.
